SUMMARY OF THE POEM
A slow stream flows through a small valley . The entre valley is flooded with sunlight . A young soldier sleeps there with his mouth wide open He keeps his head on a pillow made of fern . He seems sleeping stretching in the sun - Warmed grass . His feet are among the flowers . He looks pale , and seems to be Smiling like an innocent infant . The humming insects do not disturb his sleep at all . He sleeps peacefully keeping his one hand on his breast . But there are two red holes on his body . The holes are the bullet wounds . The wounds indicate that the soldier is dead . । কবিতার সংক্ষিপ্তসার । একটি ছােট্ট নদী একটি ছােটো উপত্যকার মধ্য দিয়ে প্রবাহিত হয়ে চলেছে । পুরাে উপত্যকাটি সূর্যের আলােয় প্লাবিত । একটি যুবক সৈনিক সেখানে মুখ খােলা অবস্থায় শুয়ে আছে । সেফানের বালিশে তার মাথা রেখেছে । মনে হয় সে যেন সুর্যস্নাত ঘাসে টানটান হয়ে ঘুমােচ্ছে । তার পা - দুটি রয়েছে ফুলের মধ্যে । তাকে বিবর্ণ দেখাচ্ছে , আর মনে হয় যেন নিস্পাপ শিশুর মতাে হাসছে । গুনগুনকার । পতঙ্গেরা তার ঘুমের ব্যাঘাত করে না । সৈনিকটি তার বুকের একটি হাত রেখে শান্তিতে ঘুমােচ্ছ । কিন্তু তার শরীরে রয়েহে লাল গর্ত । গর্ত দুটি বুলেটের ক্ষত । দুটি ক্ষত থেকে বােঝা সৈনিকটি মৃত ।
